Fired at 1,280°C
Vitrified stoneware holds brew temperature within 2°C across a four-minute pour. No thermal shock, no pre-heat ritual, no metallic edge.
Thrown, not pressed
Every cone is turned on a wheel in Sarah's studio in Chiang Mai and signed on the foot. Small variations are the point, not a defect.
How it’s made
Fourteen minutes
on the wheel.
Each cone starts as 900 grams of local stoneware clay, thrown, trimmed, drilled by hand while still damp, then rested for three days before its first firing. It goes into the kiln twice — once bare, once glazed — and comes out the other side as one solid piece with no seam to fail.
Sarah throws about forty a week. That is the whole production line, and it is why the sale ends when the batch does.

Do I really never need a paper filter?
Never. The drilled cone does the filtering. Rinse it under the tap after brewing and knock the bed into the bin — that is the whole ritual.
What happens if it arrives broken?
We ship in a moulded pulp cradle and breakage sits under 1%. If yours arrives cracked, send one photo and a replacement goes out the same day at no cost.
How long does shipping take?
Express orders land in 3–6 business days worldwide. Standard is 8–14. Both are tracked from the studio door, and duties are prepaid for the EU, UK, US, and AU.
Can I return it if I don't get on with it?
Brew on it for 60 days. If it is not the best cup on your counter, we refund the order in full and cover the return label — used, stained, and all.
Is the sale price going to come back?
This is the autumn kiln batch, priced to clear it before the studio closes for the winter firing. The next batch returns to $89.
